Think Kickstarter is just for the boys? Think again. Although the platform is overrun with jeans and hoodie offerings, clearly not aimed toward the fashion-forward female, Tamar Daniel is taking Bradamant into the testosterone heavy waters with a girlier offering.

"I know women engaged with Kickstarter are feeling a little left out of the party," Daniel explains. If everything goes her way, on February 1 st, 2014 Daniel and her team will have presold the spring collection of reimagined bodysuits.

The latest in a batch of manufacturers seeking to balance the inventory risk, Bradamant has chosen to share its proprietary designs with the general public before the release. Daniel finds that risk well worth it: "I believe that we're living in a time where if you can't share, you will lose out. People will catch up with you one way or another; so we need to look forward, focus on making our work fresh, and over deliver for our customer every season. We have unprecedented access to our customer's preferences and aspirations."

Daniel is taking these interactions off-line too, with a series of brick and mortar meet ups to promote the brand, the campaign and to raise awareness and gain feedback. The largest of these is a #Resolve2Reach party, co-hosted with LitheMethod, a workout studio in old city Philadelphia. 100 women have already signed up for this January 15 th event.

Money raised through Kickstarter goes directly to manufacturing the spring goods, and the customer is being given a 30% price cut off projected online retail value.

Bradamant makes bodysuits to keep ambitious women tucked for all occasions. The tops are made of Silk Crepe De Chine, Silk-Cotton Jersey knits and Cotton-Spandex woven blends. The line carries sizes XS through XL and Bradamant offers free shipping within the U.S.

Bradamant's 'Better Bodysuit' Campaign runs through January 31 st, 10pm EST. If the goal isn't met by then, then no funds change hands. Those interested in supporting the project should visit Bradamant's Kickstarter site to learn more.
