Anne Hathaway to Sing in New Film SONG ONE?
According to the Daily Mail, Anne Hathaway will sing a specially written song in the new film Song One, set to begin production later this year for release in 2014. Song One is written and directed by Kate Barker-Froyland.

In Song One, Hathaway will portray an archaeologist who falls in love with a rock star played by Johnny Flynn. Flynn leads the UK folk band Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit. Johnathan Rice and Jenny Lewis are currently composing songs for Flynn and one for Hathaway. Hathaway's husband Adam Shulman is one of the film's producers.
Then, responding to the news that Hathaway could be tapped to star as 'Eliza Doolittle' in My Fair Lady on Broadway, the Mail's Baz Bamigboye surmised that Cameron Mackintosh "would like to do a My Fair Lady revival in the West End in a couple of years" and that he likely has Hathaway in mind. According to the Mail, Mackintosh has also been developing a movie of the musical with a screenplay written by Emma Thompson, which is currently dealing with a complicated web of copyright issues.
In addition to her Oscar-nominated role in Tom Hooper's "Les Miserables" film and hosting the Oscars in 2011, Hathaway has appeared in Batman: The Dark Night, 'The Princess Diaries,' 'Brokeback Mountain,' 'The Devil Wears Prada,' 'Becoming Jane,' 'Alice in Wonderland,' and 'Rachel Getting Married,' for which she was nominated for an Academy Award.
Hathaway played Viola in Shakespeare in the Park's 2009 production of TWELFTH NIGHT. She also appeared as Lili in CARNIVAL! at Encores!, and was in some of the workshops for PROMISES, PROMISES.
