The American Traditions Competition prepares for the 2015 season by announcing their call to entry. The competition's dates are February 23-27, 2015 but the deadline for entries is October 27, 2014.

The American Traditions Competition is a vocal competition held over five days in beautiful Savannah Georgia. Over $40,000 in cash and prizes are awarded to the best of the best with $12,000 awarded to the winner of the Courtney Knight Gaines Gold Medal. Twenty-eight singers compete in front of three celebrated judges from stage and film through two nights of quarter-finals, one night of semi-finals and one night of finals.

The 2015 season marks the twenty-second year for American Traditions Competition. All of the past winners, and many of the competitors, have used their experience with the ATC to launch their careers in music. Some of those winners include Co-winners, Ann Marie McPhail and Joshua Carswell; Kimberly Hawkey and the 2014 winner, Mikki Sodergren

The American Traditions Competition showcases contestants performing American Music from a diverse spectrum of established genres. Each contestant is required to choose their repertoire for each of the three rounds of the competition. Contestants must choose 9 songs from which three programs must be presented. These programs are what the applicant plans to sing in each of three rounds of the competition.

Each of the 9 songs submitted on applications for the 2015 American Traditions Competition must have been composed by an American Composer (either natural born or naturalized American citizens), and must represent a distinct genre.
