Opening in October 1981, on Trinity Avenue in downtown Atlanta, Alan Avery Art Company formerly Trinity Gallery led the way in converting open warehouse spaces in fringe neighborhoods into art, gallery and coffee house venues. The gallery was the hip, chic place to be seen when opening night rolled around. In 1994, shortly after the announcement that Atlanta would be the host city for the Olympics, it was decided that the new home of Trinity Gallery would be the iconic space that once housed the famous restaurant Rue de Paris, in the heart of Buckhead. In 2007, the name of the gallery was changed to Alan Avery Art Company. The gallery and its director have been credited for some of the most original and lavish opening receptions in Atlanta.

Clients of the gallery include numerous museum and public institutions, corporations, and private collectors across the globe.

The gallery represents and has shown some of the most important artists of our time including Alexander Calder, Chuck Close, Jim Dine, Caio Fonseca, HeLen Frankenthaler, Robert Kipniss, Roy Lichtenstein, Louise Nevelson, Robert Rauschenberg Donald Sultan, Kara Walker and Andy Warhol.

The Owner Alan Avery was born in Greenville North Carolina. Alan left the public school system at an early age on recommendation of academic advisors to attend The North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He majored in visual arts and minored in classical ballet. After Attending Parsons School of Design and Georgia State University, he settled in Atlanta and began his career to become Atlantas leading art dealer and one of the Southeastern foremost experts in contemporary art.
