2013 was a year of growth, opportunity and partnership for Sell a Door Theatre Company as the company was welcomed into not one, but two creative buildings as an Associate Company. The beautiful Beacon Arts Centre, under the artistic direction of Julie Ellen, officially welcomed Sell a Door as Associate Company at the new arts centre in Inverclyde. Meanwhile a longstanding relationship with Greenwich Theatre was formalised into a partnership, committing the company to a long-term collaboration with the South East London venue to producing daring, diverse and dynamic work for London and regional audiences.

In 2013 nearly 25,000 people attended one of Sell a Door's 200 performances in over 50 venues from the north of Scotland to the south coast of England. Sell a Door produced a wide portfolio of work to attract audiences of all ages, including major tours of classics from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights Dream to Orwell's dark dystopian novel 1984, and brought the lovely Seussical by Lynn Arenns and Stephen Flaherty back to the heart of the West End. New work came in the form of Sincerely, Mr. Toad by David Andrew Wilson, Katie McIvor and myself, which enjoyed a successful summer in Edinburgh, whilst Alfred Enoch's new adaptation of Ghosts toured across fourteen venues in the autumn. A timely revival of Journey's End at Greenwich Theatre proved a hit with the local audiences of South East London, and in the summer Sell a Door brought leading stars Julie Atherton, David Hunter, Keith Jack and Stacey McClean together for A Night at the Musicals.

Looking towards 2014, Sell a Door Theatre Company has a very exciting line up of tours and revivals in store for you. A new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Kidnapped kicks off the year with a forty eight-venue tour until June. Adapted by emerging playwright Ivan Wilkinson, this whirlwind adventure has something for all the family. Come April, Sell a Door will be launching a UK Tour of the hit, Tony award winning musical Avenue Q by Jeff Marx, Robert Lopez and Jeff Whitty. Opening at Sell a Door's home, Greenwich Theatre, for three weeks before a twelve-week tour across the UK, don't miss this hilarious hit comedy when it comes to a theatre near you. In June the company will be producing a major new adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland at Greenwich Theatre.

Autumn 2014 sees the launch of two major tours. Sell a Door will be reviving Alastair Cording's adaptation of Lewis Grassic Gibbon's Sunset Song, recently voted the best loved novel of all time in Scotland. Meanwhile, the company will be touring a new version of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice in a dynamic new reimagined production for young and old audiences alike.

Sell a Door is committed to producing theatre of the highest quality, yet they do so with very little funding. The company is hugely grateful to our audiences and supporters for making their work possible.
