Carrie Dietrich and her art.

WAYNESBORO, PA -- Gallery 50, located at 50 West Main St, Waynesboro, PA, announces a new "Second Saturday Meet the Artist" event beginning January 11.

Scheduled to occur on the second Saturday of every month between 2 - 4 pm, light refreshments will be served, admission is free, and all are invited to attend. A different artist will be featured each month. The first, January 11 event will highlight the work of artist Carrie Dietrich.

A resident of Chambersburg, PA, Dietrich is a self-taught artist. Currently you can find her work internationally in places such as Australia, New Zealand, German, Norway, Denmark, Canada, and throughout the United States. The patterns she uses in her work come from textures, buildings, clothes, and microscopic slides, to name just a few. Her work has been featured in "Living Design" online magazine, the August 2013 issue "Top Ten Etsy Finds", and most recently in "Keiki", a Danish boutique style magazine.

The Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro and Destination ARTS! invite you to join them for the afternoon. Discover Carrie Dietrich's unique way of creating her beautiful pen and ink drawings, and hear her explain how she finds her inspiration and translates it into fascinating works of art.
