We present the tale of Tom Thumb, giving priority to the issue of abandonment and contextualizing it in a situation that will not cease to claim parallels with today's society. Tom Thumb is a tale in which a child often and ingenious saves all his brethren and his family, when desperate parents to abandon them in the forest due to lack of resources.

The story belongs to the collective imagination, just remember some passages of the story to move us:

Who has not been afraid to get lost in a forest and being abandoned?

Who has not thought a trail of white pebbles to return home?

And a trail of breadcrumbs that disappear by the appetite of a few birds?

Who has not felt fear when thinking about the figure of an evil ogre?
