A true musical theatre phenomenon, Jekyll & Hyde attracted legions of loyal fans even before the show began its smash-hit Broadway run.

An evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, Jekyll & Hyde is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good, Dr. Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde. With a soaring score by Frank Wildhorn and orchestrations by Kim Scharnberg.

Jekyll & Hyde has not been seen by Adelaide audiences for over 10 years and will run for a limited season at The Arts Theatre from May 26.

Marie Clark Musical Theatre Company's Jekyll & Hyde is licensed exclusively by Music Theatre International (Australasia) with all performance materials supplied by Hal Leonard Australia and will be directed by Ben Todd, musically directed by Ben Stefanoff and choreographed by Rebekah Stonelake.

Starring David MacGillivray as Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde, Ashly Muldrew as Emma Carew, Sarah Wildy as Lucy Harris and supported by a large talented cast, Jekyll & Hyde is a production not to be missed.

Director Ben Todd says, "I am thrilled to be bringing this amazing production back to the Adelaide stage. The challenge of staging a production of this scale is one I am relishing, coupled with working with an amazing cast of such diverse experience. From first timers to seasoned performers, they are rising to the task of recreating Victorian London and producing an unforgettable theatre experience."

This production of Jekyll & Hyde is to be performed at The Arts Theatre, 53 Angas Street, Adelaide and runs for a strictly limited season of seven shows: May 26 - 27 & May 31 - June 3 at 8pm as well as a 2pm matinee on Saturday June 3.
