Three old friends set up an alternative therapy clinic, where they roleplay as the absent men in their clients’ lives. All goes well until one of the actors dates one of the Institute’s clients, sending the whole operation into disarray and risking scandal and potential closure.
The Fake Man Institute explores the problematic business of people and what happens when business gets personal. As lines blur, new connections grow and old relationships are tested, what can happen when we open the door to London's loneliest and let them run wild? Will old wounds finally heal? Or will they discover something much more unexpected: the truth?
Written by L. T. Hewitt and directed by Heather Collier – the OFFIE-nominated duo behind last year's Edinburgh Fringe hit Outing – the cast includes Hewitt, Rachel Greenwood, Charlie Wright, Sadi Masego, Calum Goring, Brontë Beckett and Audrey Kong.

Charlie is a queer, British actor from the Midlands, currently based in London. He has been cast in some amazing projects across stage and screen, including 'The White Crow', directed by Ralph Fiennes, 'Albatross' at the Park Theatre, and 'Isle of Muck' at Edinburgh Fringe ("weirdly wonderful") as well as some feature films in the States, for one of which he won Best Actor at the Christian Film Festival. Most recently, he shot 'Ten To Six' with director Alessio Rupalti ('Rose Island', Netflix).

L. T. Hewitt is an OFFIE-nominated writer, director, actor and producer based in London. In addition to his own writing, he has played the lead in 'Love's Labour's Lost' at the Bridewell Theatre and an upcoming Apple TV series. He recently released his eighth short film, 'Gym Buddy', a bi romcom which has received more than 330,000 views on YouTube.
