Robin Williams Returns To The London Stage

Outrageous Hollywood film star and stand up comedian, Robin Williams is to perform a one night concert in London.
The concert is his first appearence on stage in the UK in 25 years and it is to celebrate the 60th birthday of Prince Charles.
November 12th is the date and it takes place at the Wimbledon Theatre in aid of The Princes Trust. It will have a whole array of Britain's top stand up comics on stage.
Tickets go on sale next Weds to the public.
A comedian who is not always to everyones liking, including mine, but a few years back I was given a DVD of his 2002 Broadway show and it changed my image of him totally- it is a brilliantly funny performance.
Bet these seats aint gonna been cheap tho!

Does anyone have any info about Robin Williams' two dates at The Gielgud Theatre? I understand he's due to play November 13th and 14th (Bill Bailey's show is not taking bookings for these two dates).

I keep scouring the ticket sites but no word yet - any clues would be much appreciated.

125 f****** s for a recorded TV performance! Most of the house will be papered anyway and those that get to pay the full 125 will probably get the worst sets there! Wait for the DVD! This wouldn't happen 20 years ago. If a show was filmed for TV - it was free!
I worked on many of them at the Palladium and Dominion in the 80s and early 90s. Dolly Parton at the Dominin took 20 (what would that be today? )top ticket in 1985 over 3 nights, but the night the fabulous DVD was filmed it was free. That particular performance was sold out months in advance then they decided to make a video of it. ALL ticket holders who paid for that filmed performance got a full cash refund as they arrived at the Dominion! It was an incredible night!
Regarding Robin williams in London- it makes me laugh to see that they charge this price in London but if you look at his dates in the states nearly all of them are less than half what London is expected to pay!

I don't know where the information came from, but as far as I know it's not going to be televised. Maybe you are all mixing the Gielgud shows up with the show "We Are Most Amused" which is the one that's going to be televised. That show featuring Robin, Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese will be recorded and broadcast on ITV...

Im only going on on what I've read here BUT in my opinion I think its more likely that the show for the Prince Of Wales's birthday at the Wimbledon Theatre is more likely the one to be filmed!!!
Tickets for the Wimbledon show are 100 -25
