This week on TheatreRadio, join Tim as he chats to the amazing KT Sullivan in her New York apartment about everything from Marlene Dietrich to Yorkshire Puddings, prior to her appearance at the Jermyn Street Theatre (14th – 21st December) in her latest show, ‘Vienna to Weimar’

Tim’s credits include: Helen Lederer’s One Night Stand With Her Date Tim McArthur, Forever Plaid (National Tour), Don’t Tell Mama (New York) as well as various solo performances across London. KT Sullivan most recently starred Off Broadway in American Rhapsody (winner of MAC Award for best revue of 2001 and nominee for Lucille Lortel and Drama Desk Awards). Billboard Magazine called KT Sullivan "one of the finest cabaret/musical stage performers around." Her Broadway credits include Threepenny Opera with Sting, Broadway directed by the late George Abbott, and the leading role in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She co-starred in the workshop of Easter Parade with Tommy Tune, the national tour of Annie Get Your Gun, Off Broadway in Splendora and A….My Name Is Still Alice.

She has headlined at The White House, Carnegie Hall, Caramoor, The Spoleto Festival, The Chichester Festival and regularly performs at the Algonquin in New York and Pizza On The Park in London. Stephen Holden of The New York Times wrote that "KT Sullivan is the cabaret equivalent of whipped cream atop a surprisingly nutritious dessert."

Her television credits include Police Squad, Night Court, Remington Steele and Cabaret 13 with Michael Feinstein. She has recorded five albums on the DRG Label, including The Sweetest Sounds of Richard Rodgers with Larry Woodard (MAC Award 2001), Sing My Heart: the songs of Harold Arlen, Live from Rainbow and Stars: The songs of Bart Howard (Bistro Award) and Crazy World (voted #1 in the Vocals Category by Pulse Magazine.) Liza Minnelli presented her with the Manhattan Association of Cabarets’ coveted Outstanding Female Vocalist Award.

KT has played leading roles (including Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday and Frances in Light Up The Sky) at The Old Globe, The Long Wharf, The Missouri Rep and Goodspeed Opera House. In 1999 she was chosen as one of the top 100 Irish Americans by Irish America Magazine and married outstanding Irish American Stephen Downey
