American Buffalo to get top gun top name?#1
Posted: 7/28/10 at 10:31am
Tom Cruise has been offered 'American Buffalo' as his possible West End debut.
Fast working producers have piled on him since he casually expressed interst in making his stage debut last week in London!
They have come up with a few classic works and the one shown greatest interest was 'American Buffalo'.
It has been stressed however that Mr Cruise will not be able to commit to a substantial stage role until the end of 2011, early 2012, at he earliest!

It must be good news, this has left bob speechless^ lol.

If Tom did come over, the show would be a sell out quickly, he would be a massive draw for all the wrong reasons.

Only time I've seen this was the 1980s production that stared Al Pacino.
It sold out the Duke Of Yorks weeks in advance and was a very, very powerful production BUT at nearly 4hrs was a bit of a bum killer!

Oooooh! We want a bit of drama.

It's about time Bob got in trouble.

He's normally so well behaved - unlike the rest of us.

It wasn't my mistake LOL. Mama changed the thread title after posting it and I'd replied to what I thought was the Cloris Leachman thread - then had to move my comment there. But it's not possible to delete an entire post, only the text inside, so I then had to leave everything blank. LOL

Anyway - regarding TC and AB - I am very excited about this as I think Tom Cruise is an amazing screen actor (some stunning performances in movies such as The Fourth Of July, The Color Of Money, Rain Man, A Few Good Men, etc....). And I'm a big David Mamet fan too. Strange that AB runs for around 4 hours! Most other Mamet plays I've seen last less than 90 minutes.
