Titanic's 10-week record breaking London season is being extended.

Titanic has become one of the hottest, must-see shows in the West End, with 25 five star rave reviews and being named Critic's Choice in many national newspapers including The Times, Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard, The Daily Telegraph and Time Out.

The multi Tony award-winning Broadway musical also launched Thom Southerland's inaugural season as Artistic Director at Charing Cross Theatre. It will now play an extra week and finally end its acclaimed run on Saturday August 13. The regular midweek matinee that week will move from Wednesday to become a Stagey Matinee on Tuesday 9 August to give other West End performers chance to see it.

Additonally, Titanic composer Maury Yeston (Nine, Grand Hotel) is flying in from New York to take part in an after-show Q & A on Tuesday July 26 with Matt Wolf, London theatre critic of The International New York Times and Theatre Editor at The Arts Desk. This not-to-be-missed evening will give musical theatre fans a unique chance to hear first hand from one of Broadway's most celebrated composers. In the final hour of 14 April 1912 the RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, collided with an iceberg and 'the unsinkable ship' slowly sank. It was one of the most tragic disasters of the 20th Century. 1517 men, women and children lost their lives.

Titanic is produced by Danielle Tarento, Steven M. Levy, Sean Sweeney and Vaughan Williams.

The Charing Cross Theatre season will also include the European premiere of Titanic composer Maury Yeston's Death Takes a Holiday.
