THRILLER - LIVE Celebrates its 1st Birthday in the West End

THRILLER - LIVE, the spectacular, high-octane concert-style show specially created to celebrate the career of the world's greatest entertainer and undisputed King of Pop, Michael Jackson, is celebrating its 1st birthday in the West?End with a new updated version featuring 6 new songs, a new opening and stunning extra choreography.

Press night for the updated version of THRILLER - LIVE is Thursday, February 11th at 7:30pm at the Lyric Theatre. THRILLER - LIVE is currently booking at the Lyric Theatre through Sunday, May 9th.

THRILLER - LIVE has been nominated for two 2010 Whatsonstage Theatregoers Awards, including Best New Musical and Best Choreographer for Gary Lloyd's work.

Celebrating the musical hits and career of Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5, THRILLER - LIVE moonwalked into the West End in January 2009 after three acclaimed UK?tours and standing ovations across Germany, Holland and Scandanavia. Following the tragic death of Michael Jackson on June 25, 2009, the show has now been updated, and it features a spectacular new opening, and there are six additional songs, some new visuals and extra choreography.

Unlike other West End productions, THRILLER - LIVE is not a rigid book musical with set songs, but is a constantly evolving music concert celebration. Since opening in the West End, two world tours have seen the show play to acclaim in many countries, including Germany, Italy, Poland, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Further productions are planned for 2010 for Australia, Asia, South and North America and Canada.

In THRILLER - LIVE, the non-stop hits just keep on coming from "I Want You Back", "I'll Be There", "They Don't Really Care About Us", "Show You The Way To Go", "Can You Feel It", "Rock With You", "She's Out Of My Life", "Thriller", "Beat It", "ABC", "Man in the?Mirror", "Dirty Diana", "Billie Jean", and many, many more.

To bring to life on stage the distinctive high-energy dancing and pulsating sound of many of pop's greatest hits, Thriller - Live blends eye-popping video footage and effects together with dazzling choreography by the show's award-winning director Gary Lloyd, who has previously worked with Leona Lewis, Will Young, Gareth Gates, Emma Bunton, Robbie Williams, Pink, Anastacia, Lemar; Rachel Stevens, Kelly Clarkson and Girls Aloud.

THRILLER - LIVE was originally conceived and created by Executive Director of the show, AdrIan Grant, a long time associate of Michael Jackson, and author of "Michael Jackson - The Visual Documentary."
