KW & NB Ltd present a Tall Stories production of The Gruffalo- A musical adaptation of the award-winning picture.

The hugely popular modern classic by Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson and celebrated illustrator Axel Scheffler is directed by Olivia Jacobs and designed by Isla Shaw.  Music is by Jon Fiber, Olivia Jacobs, Robin Price and Andy Shaw. The Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue hosts the return of this energetic 55-minute production from 23 November to 15 January, adapted and directed by Tall Stories duo Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell.

The Gruffalo returns to London's West End for an extraordinary fifth consecutive winter run this year. The production has rapidly become an essential part of the West End's Christmas season.

Since its 2001 premiere, the exuberant adaptation of firm favourite The Gruffalo has been performed across the globe in countries including Poland, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and Chile as well as in North America from Broadway to Alaska and Canada. In the UK The Gruffalo has even been spied on the summer Festival circuit playing in front of 16,000 people at Camp Bestival. In 2012, The Gruffalo will take to the road on an extensive spring / summer UK tour.

Illustrated by Axel Scheffler, Donaldson's original book has sold over 4 million copies in 38 languages, and is the subject of a star-studded BBC animation released in 2009.

Follow the quick-thinking Mouse into the deep, dark wood in this magical and musical modern classic. Discover what happens when he comes face to face with wheeler-dealer Fox, an eccentric old Owl and a maraca-shaking Snake, and, of course the very creature he imagined.....The Gruffalo!
