Peter Pan, one of the greatest fairy tales of all time, makes its return to the London stage at the Adelphi Theatre on Sunday 25th October for a matinee and evening performance.

Reprising the role of The Storyteller, legendary British actress Sheila Hancock has been confirmed as the latest name to take to the stage for this special evening.

Known for her work across stage and screen, with notable credits including the original London cast of Annie, the West End revival of Cabaret (for which she won a Laurence Olivier Award) and Sweeney Todd. Sheila Hancock originally played this role in the 2001 musical in concert production of Peter Pan alongside her late husband, the actor John Thaw.

Producers Ollie Rosenblatt and Elliot Davis said, "The Peter Pan concert continues to develop into a company of stellar talent. We are delighted to welcome the phenomenal Sheila Hancock as The Storyteller, ensuring that this is a very special matinee and evening not to be missed. As producers we couldn't be prouder."

George Stiles and Anthony Drewe said, "There is magic in Sheila's voice and it will be very special for us to hear her return to the role she created 14 years on."

Based on J. M. Barrie's classic, the production features music and lyrics by the Olivier Award-winning writing duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Honk!, Mary Poppins, Betty Blue Eyes, Soho Cinders) and a book by the late Willis Hall.

Join Peter and the Darling children as they travel to a land full of imagination and possibility featuring the mischievous Lost Boys and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook.

Stiles and Drewe's "timeless and tuneful score" (Independent) combines adventure, comedy and a real emotional punch. With further cast names to be announced shortly, the show will be sprinkled with a new dose of fairy dust, sure to capture the hearts and minds of anyone who refuses to grow up.

Join Peter Pan as he flies towards the second star to the right, and by morning you'll be transported to the magical Never Land where there are "no tedious distances between one adventure and the next".

"The tunes escalate the magic and make the already brilliant J M Barrie story all the more sublime." (Yorkshire Evening Post)
