Amidst the madness of present day Soho unravels a touching and true love story... Clayton Littlewood's acclaimed book, "Dirty White Boy:?Tales of Soho" based on his bizarre experiences running an upmarket menswear shop in bohemian Old?Compton?Street, won acclaim from critics and celebrities alike. The production will end its run May 23rd.

From his window on one of the most colourful street corners in the world, Clayton sat and blogged about the real life characters that passed through his doors. Characters range from the aging ‘polari speaking' Leslie, Sue and Maggie from the brothel upstairs, Angela the feisty transsexual, the bizarre 'Thongman' and Chico the campest queen on the street. Although writing about prostitutes, street cleaners, bag ladies, rude boys and shoplifters, everyone is written about with humour and sensitivity. The blog then became a highly successful column in thelondonpaper.

Now it comes to the West End in a brilliantly funny and insightful stage adaptation at the Trafalgar Studios, featuring the writer himself, award-winning solo performer David Benson ("Think No Evil Of Us: My Life With Kenneth Williams") and Alexis Gerred, runner up in BBC 1's UK Eurovision contest "Your Country Needs You", singing torch songs as "Dirty WhiteBoy".

Clayton Littlewood (narrator) moved to London in his teens to join a band called Spongefinger as the lead singer. After being rejected by every record company in the UK Clayton turned to pirate radio, hosting a comedy show where he posed as a female West Country aromatherapist by the name of Doctor Bunty. More recently, Clayton ran the shop Dirty White Boy with his partner Jorge Betancourt, writing the Soho Stories column for thelondonpaper and has been a contributor to BBC Radio. "Dirty White Boy: Tales of Soho" was his first book. It only took him 46 years to write it. This is his first play. www.claytonlittlewood.com

David Benson (actor) is best known for his solo shows ("Think No Evil of Us: My Life With Kenneth Williams", plus nine others including his new one on Samuel Johnson, seen at last year's Edinburgh Fringe) and for his performance as Noel Coward in the BBC series "Goodnight Sweetheart". He recently appeared in Stephen Brown's play "Future Me". In 2008 he adapted and directed the award-nominated "My Grandfather's Great War". http://davidbenson.info

Alexis Gerred (singer) is an emerging talent, who has already sung in front of millions of TV viewers. Alexis trained with Jenny O'Grady, a top vocal coach who has worked with Elton John, Kylie Minogue and Gary Barlow. In March, Alexis was chosen as one of the final six acts to make it through to the live TV finals on the BBC1 's "Your Country Needs You", to pick the UK's Eurovision act, and was runner-up in the final phone vote.

Director Phil Willmott is a multi-award winning director, artistic director, playwright, composer, librettist, teacher, dramaturg, arts journalist... and occasional actor. He is the most commissioned musical theatre writer/composer in the UK and Britain's foremost director of Greek drama. His current London productions include the TMA award-winning "Once Upon A Time At The Adelphi", and the cult hit "Naked Boys Singing".
