London's UNION THEATRE will produce the World Premiere of a brand new British Musical - DUNCTON WOOD - playing now through 20th June 2015. Already acclaimed for innovative revivals and reinventions of well-known pieces and rarities, the Union Theatre now produces this ambitious work staged by award-winning director Michael Strassen. When DUNCTON WOOD falls under a tyrant's rule the old beliefs and nature itself are under threat. For young Bracken, and the few others with courage, exile may be just the beginning of a long road home... Magical, lyrical and animalistic this story of faith wars, youthful romance, freedom fighters, and deep friendship plays out in a woodland world torn apart by dictatorship and the battle to survive.

DUNCTON WOOD features music & lyrics by Mark Carroll with book by James Peries, based on the bestselling bovel by William Horwood. Union Theatre's production is staged and directed by Michael Strassen, with musical direction by Josh Sood, designs by Jean Gray, orchestrations by Michael England. Produced by Sasha Regan and Paul Callen.
