Postcards From God - the Sister Wendy Musical, will open at the Jermyn Street Theatre on January 8th with performances running for four weeks only through to February 3rd. Produced by the Okai Collier Company, the production will star Andrea Miller as Mother Ruth/Penelope, Juliet Gough as Daniel/Brandy LeBrun, Catherine Millsom as Coz, Louise Hollamby as Sister Amelia and the West End veteran Myra Sands as Sister Wendy.

"A vibrant and enchanting new musical portrait of renowned 'art nun' Sister Wendy Beckett. With her homespun philosophy that 'art is meant for everyone', Sister Wendy became a household name in the nineties with her televised tours of the UK, Europe and America. But as the reluctant pop icon swapped her humble mobile home for the caravan of fame, her simple life would never be the same again. Featuring gospel, pop, rock 'n' roll and rap, Postcards from God's bold new score is composed in styles as various as the artworks depicted in the show. A cast of all-singing, all-dancing nuns bring this poignant parable about the world's only 'nun critic superstar' to life in vivid colour."

The Jermyn Street Theatre opened in 1994 as a small studio theatre space and is now one of the leading London fringe venues. "Our aim is to provide talented new actors, directors and writers with the opportunity to be recognised and given a platform in the best West End Studio Theatre. In smart, comfortable surroundings and with other members of the profession, our goal is to raise funds for other worthwhile charity causes during the year through the medium of our entertainment schedule." The theatre's patron is HRH Princess Michael of Kent.
