PMQ Comes To BAC Freshly Scratched September 26; Politicians Invited

It's Wednesday at noon, and the Prime Minister is absent from the dispatch box! The Deputy Leader is standing in, but the back benchers are grumbling and the leader of the opposition is on the attack. Of course, nobody's going to say anything of merit: the PM will fluff some statistics while the opposition fail to press the issues. But this week, things are different. This week, it's your turn to ask the questions in Minmay Theatre Company's new work, PMQ.

PMQ (short for Prime Minister's Questions) will be making its world premiere at Battersea Arts Centre's Freshly Scratched festival on Saturday September 26 at 5pm.

PMQ was devised by MTC founder Jonathon Collis and written by Collis and Helen McCarthy. An interactive satire where the audience becomes the parliament, PMQ looks at what happens when the politicians get asked the questions they should be - and the honest answers they get in return.

To celebrate PMQ's premiere, Minmay Theatre Company have sent invitations to Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman, David Cameron, and John Bercow to attend and participate in the show along with the main audience as members of parliament, asking the tough questions they certainly wouldn't in The Commons itself. Will they attend? Come and see for yourself.

PMQ stars Grace Pieniazek as the Deputy Leader, Rob Talbot as the Leader of the Opposition, and Robert Hilder as the Speaker of the House. The piece is directed by Mr. Collis and Ms. McCarthy. Tickets for Freshly Scratched can be purchased through the BAC website or by telephoning Battersea Arts Centre's box office at 020 7223 2223. Tickets are £5.00 and include access to all performances during the festival's afternoon session.
