Mark Evans Cast In JET SET GO! At Jermyn Theater 3/31- 4/18

Mark Evans, a finalist in the BBC's recent search for a Eurovision star, will follow his foray with Lord Lloyd Webber by headlining the cast of the brand new British musical Jet Set Go!, a sell-out show at last year's Edinburgh Festival, which touches down in London forthree weeks at Jermyn Street Theatre from Tuesday 31 March to Saturday 18 April 2009.

Mark, who was chosen by Lord Lloyd Webber as one of the final six acts competing torepresent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009, appeared live on BBC One's YourCountry Needs You earlier this year and reached the show's final. Prior to that, he playedthe part of teen-sensation Troy Bolton in High School Musical - Live on Stage at theHammersmith Apollo, having previously understudied the lead role of Fiyero in Wicked and performed in the original cast of the West End production of Monty Python's Spamalot.

Mark will play Richard, a straight-acting gay steward, in Jet Set Go!. Joining him in the castwill be: John McManus (tours of Doctor Dolittle and Cats) as Ryan, his camp colleague; Laura Scott (Desperately Seeking Susan, Mary Poppins) as Nicola, their Liverpudlianleader; Danielle Corlass as new recruit Mel, Emily Sidonie as Puerto Rican seductressJulia; and Amy Coombes (UK tour of 42 nd Street) as her Welsh colleague, Hayley.

Up on the flight deck, Philip Riley (La Cage Aux Folles) plays Jim, the arrogant Captain and TimDriesen (Never Forget, Joseph, Mamma Mia!, Rocky Horror) plays Paul, his First Officer.Take to the skies with a tantalisingly tuneful team of fun-loving cabin crew in this brandnew British musical. With romance rampaging in the sky, a lustful stopover in New York sends sexual tensions spiralling high.

Fasten your seat belts for this exhilarating London première, with an original score by Notes for the Stage finalist, Pippa Cleary. As the crewsing up the aisles and tap dance down Broadway, it's a journey that you'll never forget. Atongue-in-cheek look at the lives of those working in the skies, with a host of adorable characters.
