Loncq, Protheroe et al. Join BROKEN GLASS at Tricycle/Vaudeville Theatres

Caroline Loncq (Margaret Hyman), Brian Protheroe (Stanton Case), Suzan Sylvester (Harriet) and Stanley Townsend (Dr Harry Hyman) join previously announced Antony Sher (Phillip Gellburg) and TAra Fitzgerald (Sylvia Gellburg) to complete the cast for Arthur Miller's Olivier Award winning Broken Glass.


Following a sell-out run at the Tricycle Theatre in 2010, Broken Glass, directed by Iqbal Khan, will return for a limited season at the Tricycle from 10 August until 10 September, before transferring to the Vaudeville Theatre. Broken Glass will run in the West End from 14 September until 10 December, with press night on 16 September.

Caroline Loncq's stage credits include Scorched for the Old Vic and Dialogue Productions, Love's Labour's Lost and The Comedy of Errors for the RSC, An Absolute Turkey at the Gielgud Theatre and King of Hearts for Hampstead Theatre/Out of Joint. Caroline's television credits include One Night, Prime Suspect II, Too Good to be True and My Family, with film credits including The Affair of the Necklace and I Could Never Be Your Woman.

Brian Protheroe played the role of Stanton Case in the Tricycle's original critically acclaimed production of Broken Glass. Protheroe's other stage credits include Noises Off at Birmingham Rep, The Convict's Opera for Out of Joint Theatre Company, The Lord of the Rings for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Losing Louis for Hampstead Theatre and Trafalgar Studios, The Sisters Rosensweig at the Old Vic and The Ice Man Cometh, Long Voyage Home, Larkrise to Candleford and Dispatches all for The National Theatre. His screen work includes the role of Samuel Walker in the eighth series of Spooks, Love Soup, My Family and Midsomer Murders.

Suzan Sylvester's previous stage credits include Three Sisters On Hope Street for Hampstead Theatre, Crooked at the Bush Theatre, Tabloid Caligula at the Arcola Theatre, Black Milk, Terrorism and Cleansed for The Royal Court Theatre, The Reckless Are Dying Out for the Lyric Hammersmith, All My Sons, The Glass Menagerie and Romeo and Juliet at the Young Vic and A View From The Bridge, which ran at The National Theatre before transferring to the Aldwych Theatre, for which Suzan won an Olivier Award for Best Newcomer. Her screen credits include Doctors, Holby City and Where The Heart Is.

Stanley Townsend's theatre work includes Tribes, The Alice Trilogy, Shining City, Under The Blue Sky and The Weir at The Royal Court Theatre, Happy Now?, Phedre, Gethsemane, Remember This and Guys and Dolls at The National Theatre, Prayers of Sherkin at the Old Vic and The Plough and the Stars at the Young Vic. Townsend's recent television credits include The Shadow Line, alongside Antony Sher, and Zen, with further screen credits including Rough Diamond, Ashes to Ashes, New Tricks, Waking The Dead, Killing Bono, Happy Go Lucky, Into The West and In the Name of the Father.
