The streets of Stoke will be paved with gold this Christmas as Jonathan Wilkes returns for his fifth Regent Theatre pantomime, DICK WHITTINGTON, which is sponsored by Robinsons.

Stoke-on-Trent's favourite panto star Jonathan Wilkes is back following an astonishing run of four record-breaking years with Mother Goose, Aladdin, Cinderella and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Jonathan will be playing the title role of Dick Whittington.

Joining Jonathan this year is singing sensation, Sheila Ferguson who will be playing the part of Fairy Oatcakes! With a career that has taken her from the top of the charts to the big screen and onto bookshelves across the world, Sheila Ferguson is truly one of the First Ladies of Entertainment.

As lead singer for iconic girl group The Three Degrees, Sheila has over 17 chart topping hits to her name including the all time classic When Will I See You Again, Take Good Care of Yourself and A Woman in Love.
Also on the bill is stage actress and model, Amy Diamond. Amy's modelling career includes campaigns for Lynx, Ann Summers and Toni & Guy. Amy will be taking on the role of Alice Fitzwarren.

After his hilarious turn as last year's evil henchman, ChristIan Patterson returns as the funniest dame in panto-land, Sarah the Cook. Completing the cast is West End star Steven Serlin as the wicked King Rat and of course, the winner of Stoke's Top Talent 09.

Join Dick Whittington on his fun-filled quest for fame and fortune. Will the streets really be paved with gold? Will he win the hand of the lovely Alice? Will he defeat the dastardly King Rat? Will Tommy The cat and Sarah the Cook help him? Come along to The Regent this Christmas to find out!

The Regent Theatre's pantomime has become a must-see Christmas tradition and Dick Whittington promises to provide all the ingredients for the perfect panto - sensational songs, dazzling dance routines, plenty of audience participation and side-splitting comedy. It's a guaranteed recipe for festive fun!

Now in its fifth year, the company is producing 12 high quality pantomimes for the Christmas 2009/2010 season.
