Inspired by the courtly royal masques of the 17th century and the designs of Inigo Jones (the architect behind St Paul's Church), The Tempest will be an evening of pomp, magic and illusion. Directed by Iris Theatre's Artistic Director Daniel Winder, audiences are led on an exciting indoor and outdoor promenade adventure as St Paul's Church transforms into the magical island. Dress to impress as you are about to join a party at the end of the world!
Winder comments, Today, in our fractious and chloric world, the message of empathy, kindness and redemption at the heart of this funny and human play seems particularly vital. The cast is a mixture of the very best young talent London theatre has to offer, alongside hugely experienced West End professionals. I am particularly excited to share with audiences our version of Prospero island - there will be magic tricks and wonder; ravishing music and a feast for all the senses. What better way to spend a beautiful summers evening than at a party at the end of the world with us, in the idyllic gardens of St. Paul's Church?
