Hang On is a spectacular new family production, which will catapult the audience into an aerial world of dizzying new thrills, where the impossible becomes possible. A first time co-production between two award winning companies - children's theatre company Theatre-Rites and aerialists Ockahm's Razor, Hang On will mix contemporary circus, movement humour and live percussion to create a new magical production for adults and children aged five plus.

Theatre-Rites' Artistic Director Sue Buckmaster will collaborate with composer Olly Fox, choreographer Alex Broadie and the three Ockham's Razor members: Alex Harvey, Tina Koch and Charlotte Mooney. The three aerialists will perform live on stage with juggler Stefano Di Renzo, percussionist Nao Masuda and actor/improviser Eric MacLennan.

Both Theatre-Rites and Ockham's Razor develop their work from their response to an object and in the case of Hang On the object is a six metre high, metal mobile, constructed out of three separate triangles. Each triangle is capable of bearing three people and the mobile will be created live on stage, triangle by triangle becoming progressively higher. The aerialists will hang, balance, play and move through each triangle. Ultimately the cast will all try and find their place, or their balance, within a precarious world.

Hang On is one of two productions that will open City Circ, London's contemporary circus season, which runs from April to August in association with 20 venues across Greater London.

A Theatre-Rites, Ockham's Razor and Lyric Hammersmith co-production in association with York Theatre Royal.
