What a huge honour for Showstopper! The Improvised Musical to be nominated in the category BEST ENTERTAINMENT AND FAMILY at the 2016 Olivier Awards! I wonder if the judges had trouble fitting us into a category; although we create a new musical from scratch every night, essentially we're selling a show which doesn't exist at the point when you purchase your ticket! So a huge thank you to all who've taken the risk and supported us through right years of creating over 700 full-length musicals.

Whenever someone says to me "I saw you in Showstopper" I immediately inquire as to which show they caught; you never know if they've seen you playing a dying chicken (yup, that was me last week) or God (yup me again) or Donald Trump (Andy last week). The Apollo Theatre must be feeling very proud with their nominations this year; Nell Gwynn and Peter Pan Goes Wrong (so funny, and directed by the powerhouse behind Showstopper!, Adam Meggido). This is a great day for us and a great day for improvised arts. We are so very grateful for the incredible team at SFTW and Showstopper London and Nimax Theatres who've stuck with us through rainy Edinburghs, far east and UK tours and now London's glittering West End.

Huge congrats also to all the nominees, in particular our friends in Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Guys and Dolls, Mrs Henderson Presents, Oresteia, Nell Gwynn and In The Heights - all hugely deserved.

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical currently plays limited dates at the Lyric Theatre.
