Everyone's favourite gem-stealing granny gets to celebrate her favourite food as 17 February 2017 marks National Cabbage day! David Walliams' best-selling book features the cabbage loving Granny whose top choices include cabbage soup, cabbage crème brulee and cabbage cottage cheese, much to the dismay of her grandson Ben.

After an extensive national tour, Birmingham Stage Company are bringing their acclaimed production of Gangsta Granny to London for its West End debut this summer. To commemorate National Cabbage Day and Granny's love for this neglected vegetable, the company will be holding bucket collections at the Garrick Theatre when the show opens on 26 July to raise money for the Cabbage Patch 10 charity. The charity organises an annual 10-mile race starting and finishing in Twickenham to raise money for The Clarendon School - a school for children with learning difficulties and MDS UK who support patients with bone marrow failure.

It's Friday night and Ben knows that means only one thing - staying with Granny! There will be cabbage soup, cabbage pie and cabbage cake and Ben knows one thing for sure - it's going to be sooooooooo boring! But what Ben doesn't know is that Granny has a secret - and Friday nights are about to get more exciting than he could ever imagine, as he embarks on the adventure of a lifetime with his very own Gangsta Granny!

Gangsta Granny is suitable for ages 5 +
