Francesca Moody Appointed Executive Producer Of Curious Directive Curious Directive announces the appointment of Francesca Moody as the company's new Executive Producer. Francesca will take up the newly created position in February and this follows the company's successful recognition in June as a national portfolio organisation.

Francesca will continue to build on the company's success working alongside Artistic Director and founder Jack Lowe in creating bold, innovative theatre that bridges the gap between science and art. She will bring her expertise of developing new and existing partnerships across the touring sector, as well as growing the company's touring programme in creating ambitious and ground-breaking new work.

Francesca is currently the Producer at Paines Plough, a role she has held since January 2016 and was previously their Assistant Producer. Prior to joining Paines Plough Francesca worked as a freelance Producer with companies including DryWrite and Look left Look Right.

In 2013 she produced the original stage production of Fleabag by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, which was awarded a Fringe First and nominated for an Oliver. Whilst working at Paines Plough she has continued to produce Fleabag in runs at the Soho Theatre, on tour in the UK and internationally. Other freelance credits include SPINE (Soho Theatre/UK tour: Fringe First and Herald Angel), Gardening for the Unfulfilled and Alienated (Undeb/Pleasance: Fringe First), HOME (SEArED/Arcola), WHERE THE WHITE STOPS (Antler/Underbelly), MYDIDAE (DryWrite/Soho Theatre/Trafalgar Studios), YOU ONCE SAID YES (LLLR/Roundhouse/LIFT Festival/Lowry), and BRIMSTONE AND TREACLE (SEArED/Arcola).

Her vision for curious directive is stunning and as we take on the mantle of joining the small group of new artist-led NPOs, we will grow our offer of new theatre inspired by science in Norwich, the UK and internationally.'

During 2018 curious directive will continue to tour Frogman, their acclaimed and dazzling, coming-of-age thriller told through 360 film in virtual reality. Further dates to be announced shortly.

Since 2008, curious directive has explored life through the lens of science. Based at the UEA's Enterprise Centre, curious directive forge sustained relationships between science communities, theatre-goers and technology partners pursuing layered, emotionally charged science-led theatre.

curious directive's shows include Return to the Silence (SHUNT), Your Last Breath (Fringe First Winner/UK and International Tour, 2011), After the Rainfall (Watford Palace co-production/UK tour, 2012), The Kindness of Strangers (NNF co-production/UK tour, 2013), Pioneer (Fringe First winner/UK tour, 2014-15), Spindrift (NNF co-production/UK tour, 2016).

In 2017, curious directive worked with the British Council South Africa on a shark conservation film project in Cape Town and with British Council Indonesia at FACT in Liverpool as a creative consultant. Frogman (Hull City of Culture 2017, the Deep Aquarium, The Old Market in association with Brisbane Powerhouse and Deloitte Digital) opened at The Traverse, August 2017, before a sell-out UK tour, with 2018 dates to be announced.

Annually curious directive tours the UK with partners including Theatre Royal Plymouth and Shoreditch Town Hall. curious directive regularly works with world-leading science institutions (Wellcome Trust and IOP). Their work is critically acclaimed, with 15 prestigious nominations and awards, published six times (Methuen Drama), with 'Plays One' arriving in 2018.

Jack was nominated in the Best Director category for the Off West-End Awards 2016 and won the Theatre Award for Spindrift at Norfolk Arts Award 2016. He was a finalist for the Clore Leadership Fellowship 2015-16.
