FAVOURITE SINS AND CHOCOLATE BARS - SONGS BY ALEX JAMES ELLISON, ROBERT GOULD & FRIENDS at The Union Theatre, October 2

Brighton-born actor/singer/songwriter Alex James Ellison, who recently supported Samantha Barks on her UK concert tour, will present a concert of songs with his music performed by himself and some special guests from the world of West End musical theatre at the new Union Theatre on Sunday October 2.

Ellison has performed at venues all around London and the UK and was the 2016 Pride's Got Talent winner. He trained at the prestigious BRIT School and Mountview Academy of Performing Arts and has played roles in a number of Off-West End musicals, including "Apartment 40C" (St James Studio and London Theatre Workshop) and "Whistle Down The Wind" (Union Theatre), and starred in "Aliens Love Underpants" on tour and at the Dominion Theatre.

In "Favourite Sins and Chocolate Bars", Ellison will perform his own unique brand of music (which has been described as "fun pop mixed with sincere singer-songwriter") - including songs from his debut EP "Duvet Days" and his hit single "Chocolate Bar". He will be joined by guest performers, including Michael Burgen (HMS Pinafore, Pirates Of Penzance, Spamalot), Abigail Carter-Simpson (Aliens Love Underpants, Ushers, Finian's Rainbow), Jordan Lee Davies (Three Little Pigs, The Shakespeare Review, Les Miserables), Jonathan Dudley (The Book Of Mormon, Titanic, Zanna Don't), Gareth Evans (Loserville, Britain's Got Talent finalist with Only Boys Aloud), Brandon Gale, Tom Hier (Footloose, Joseph), Chris Jenkins (The Burnt Part Boys, Billy Elliot, Spamalot), Katie Paine (One Night Of Rock, We Will Rock You, Godspell), Kane Oliver Parry (Wicked, Urinetown, The Light Princess), Kayleigh McKnight (Les Miserables, Starting Here Starting Now, Bend It Like Beckham), Cameron Sharp (Jesus Christ Superstar, Avenue Q, Rock Of Ages), Sasha Wareham (Wicked. The stellar cast will sing covers of Alex James Ellison's singer-songwriter catalogue (a number of which were co-written with actor-singer-songwriter Joe Sterling, who is currently thrilling audiences as Art Garfunkel in the International Tour of The Simon And Garfunkel Story) as well as numbers from the upcoming EP of songs he has written with Robert Gould (librettist/lyricist of the musicals "My Land's Shore" and "A Pebble For Aaron", which were named as finalists for the 2016 Stiles And Drewe Mentorship Award). The concert will also showcase a few songs from the new Ellison and Gould musical-in-development "Texting and Tweeting - the Musical"!
