This Christmas Curve will produce a brand new stage version of the sensational Tony Award-winning musical Chicago, directed by Curve Artistic Director Paul Kerryson.

Running from Friday 29 November 2013 to Saturday 11 Jan 2014 (press night 4 December at 7pm), the show will be the centrepiece of Curve's fifth birthday celebrations marking the official opening of the venue by Her Majesty The Queen on 4 December 2008. Since opening, Curve has built a strong reputation for its musicals which have included The King and I (and national tour), The European Premiere of The Light in the Piazza, 42nd Street, Gypsy and most recently Hello, Dolly!

Curve's next production is Piaf, starring Frances Ruffelle and Tiffany Graves - both of whom have been Chicago stars over the years.

"Curve has gone from strength to strength in the first five years and it feels the right moment to mark that progress and success. Paul Kerryson's reputation for producing exceptional musical theatre continues to flourish at Curve and as such I can't think of a more appropriate way to formally mark our fifth anniversary than by celebrating on the opening night of his brand new production of Chicago," said Fiona Allan, Chief Executive, Curve Theatre.

Set in 1920s Chicago, this sleek, sexy show tells the story of scintillating sinners Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, their crimes of passion and their outrageous pursuit of fame and celebrity. But murder, adultery and corruption are no match for their manipulative, smooth talking lawyer, Billy Flynn. He'll razzle dazzle us 'til we're begging for more!

Chicago is packed with wicked fun and includes some of the best song and dance numbers in musical theatre including; All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Nowadays and Razzle Dazzle. Originally created by John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, Chicago is a magnificent Broadway and West End Classic.

Tickets for Chicago will cost £21.50 - £40 with discounted tickets and premium packages also available. Membership discounts and priority booking are available from Saturday 26 January. Memberships can be bought online or by calling the Ticket Office. General bookings can be made from Wednesday 30 January. Ticket Office - 0116 242 3596 or online at www.curveonline.co.uk.
