According to the Daily Mail, Jonathan Coy, Vera Chok, Damien Molony, Lucy Robinson and Parth Thakerar will join previously announced star Olivia Vinall in the cast of Tom Stoppard's new play THE HARD PROBLEM, directed by Nicholas Hytner at the National Theatre in January 2015.

THE HARD PROBLEM will mark Stoppard's first return to the National in over a decade. His last work staged there was 2002's The Coast of Utopia.

Commenting on the play's title, Stoppard previously told the Mail: "It's a bit premature to say much about it, to be honest, but it's not about erectile dysfunction, anyway."

This will be Stoppard's first new play since Rock 'n' Roll in 2006. His play The Real Thing will see a revival on Broadway this fall, starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ewan McGregor, Cynthia Nixon and Josh Hamilton.

Among Coy's theatre credits are the 2008 UK tour of NOISES OFF, as well as Wyndham's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING in 2011 and 2012's THE MAGISTRATE at the National Theatre.

Chok has appeared in CHIMERICA at the Almeida and in the West End and in the National Theatre's THE WORLD OF EXTREME HAPPINESS.

Molony's theatre credits include the National's TRAVELING LIGHT and the Gate Theatre's THE BODY OF AN AMERICAN. He has also starred on television in BEING HUMAN.

Lucy Robinson has starred on the big screen in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON, DOCTOR WHO, EMMA, EASTENDERS and more.

Parth Thakerar most recently appeared in Chichester Festival Theatre's KING LEAR opposite Frank Langella.

More casting for THE HARD PROBLEM will be announced soon.
