Composer Ryan Scott Oliver Heading to London This March

Award-winning US composer Ryan Scott Oliver will be hosting a one-off concert showcasing his music and lyrics at the St James Studio in March. Oliver's shows include Jasper in Deadland, We Foxes, Mrs Sharp, 35MM: A Musical Exhibition and many more.

Ryan Scott Oliver has been called "the future of Broadway... a major new voice in musical theatre" (Entertainment Weekly) and the "best composer working today without a major production" (Backstage Magazine). He is a Jonathan Larson Grant recipient, Richard Rodgers Award winner, Lortel Award nominee and has also received ASCAP Harold Adamson Award, and New Musicals Awards from Weston Playhouse and Pace University (USA).

The concert at the St James Studio marks Oliver's "very first professional excursion to London. I love this city and hope Londoners feel just as warmly about the work I'm bringing!"

Whilst RSO is in London, he will also be bringing his hugely successful Actor Therapy masterclass (which he founded with Broadway star Lindsay Mendez) to the UK. Participant places are strictly limited and are available to book now for the workshop at Greenwich Theatre on 22nd March 2015.

RSO in London will span Oliver's career and feature songs from across a range of his shows. It is produced by Susan Winter and Katie Pesskin for As Told By Productions and directed by Katie Pesskin, who also directed the UK premiere of RSO's 35MM: A Musical Exhibition and is "greatly looking forward to working with Ryan once again". The concert's musical director will be Michael Riley. Casting will be by Benjamin Newsome and is yet to be announced.
