The first UK tour of the Olivier award-winning OUR HOUSE will open at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre for three weeks on Tuesday 3 June, following previews from 29 May. The production will run there until 21 June. The West End production of OUR HOUSE, which opened in autumn 2002, received rave reviews and public acclaim, winning the 2003 Olivier Award for 'Best New Musical'.

Featuring the most famous songs of 80's pop sensations Madness such as "My Girl", "Baggy Trousers", "House of Fun" and "It Must Be Love", "OUR HOUSE" tells the story of sixteen year-old Joe, in love for the first time, and the fateful day when something happens to tear his world in two.

Steve Brookstein, who was the winner of the first ever series of ITV's X-Factor in 2004, will make his stage debut playing 'Dad'. Following his decisive victory with two-thirds of the public vote, he went on to release a No 1 single "Against All Odds" and his debut album "Heart and Soul" sold 250,000 copies. He released his second album "40,000 Things" to great acclaim in 2006.

Gwyneth Strong will play 'Kath Casey'. Best known as 'Cassandra' from "Only Fools and Horses", she has appeared in numerous other television series, including "New Tricks", "Real Women", "A Touch of Frost" and "Harry Enfield's Brand Spanking New Show". Her stage work includes "Sugar and Spice" at the Royal Court Theatre, "When You Cure Me" at the Bush theatre and "Three Sisters" directed by Max Stafford-Clark for Out of Joint.

The following tour dates have been confirmed –

Regents Theatre Stoke-On-Trent (23 – 28 June), Theatre Royal Glasgow (30 June – 5 July), Edinburgh Playhouse (7 – 12 July), Churchill Theatre Bromley (14 – 19 July), Bradford Alhambra (21 – 26 July), Milton Keynes Theatre (1 – 6 September), Wimbledon Theatre (8 – 13 September), The Lowry Salford (15 – 20 September), Lyceum Sheffield (22 – 27 September), Sunderland Empire (29 September – 4 October), The Mayflower Southampton (20 – 25 October). Further dates to be announced shortly.

OUR HOUSE is being staged by the entire original West End creative team. "OUR HOUSE", which has music and lyrics by Madness, is written by Tim Firth ("Calendar Girls", "Neville's Island"). The production is directed by Matthew Warchus ("Lord of the Rings", 'Boeing, Boeing" and "Art"), designed by Rob Howell ("Lord of the Rings", "Tell Me on a Sunday", "The Graduate") and choreographed by Peter Darling ("Billy Elliot").

OUR HOUSE is produced by Andrew Welch, Christopher Malcolm, Brian Eastman and Richmond Theatre Productions.
