Arion Productions has launched The Show People Podcast - a biweekly podcast that shines a spotlight on the UK's performing arts industry hosted by multi-award-winning Theatre Director and the company's Artistic Director, Andrew Keates.

Every episode covers the latest performing arts news, things to see and do and discussions about industry issues. The Show People Podcast also provides a platform for new writers and composers to have their work broadcast to listeners of the show whilst interviewing a special guest from the performing arts industry all about their lives, career, lessons learned, anecdotes and even setting them some on-the-spot challenges too.

The Show People Podcast has launched with three episodes in their first week including guests Cassidy Janson (Beautiful, Avenue Q, Dessa Rose), Fra Fee (The Ferryman, Les Miserables, Candide) and Annette Badland (EastEnders, Outlander, Doctor Who). The show will fix to its biweekly format from Monday 25th September with their fourth special guest being actor and comedian Steve Furst (Little Britain, Made in Dagenham, Matilda).

Artistic Director and host of the Show People Podcast, Andrew Keates comments.

"Arion Productions has been committed to giving opportunities to theatre-makers since 2012, whether that be through our productions, special events or masterclasses. But I have been concerned about those that are either time-poor or cannot afford to pay for classes or work on small scale productions yet want access to successful professionals. The Show People Podcast is a free, multi-platform resource for anyone to use anytime, who wants to listen, learn and laugh with professionals and hopefully something that if it is valued, might attract some donations that we can invest into projects produced by Arion Productions and create even more opportunities for theatremakers."

The first three episodes of the Show People Podcast are available to download on iTunes, Stitcher, TuneIn or via a standalone player on the Show People website.

All profits from the Show People Podcast goes toward supporting Arion Productions Ltd to create opportunities and resources for theatre-makers. If you would like to support Arion Productions or discuss working with the Show People Podcast, please visit www.arion-productions.com/donate.
