Following its successful and critically acclaimed production at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2009, Adam Brace's scathing and funny play, A Real Humane Person Who Cares And All That, opens at the Arcola Theatre on Friday 27 November (with previews from 24 November).

Directed by Jamie Harper (winner of the 2006 JMK Directors Award) and designed by Bronia Housman, the full cast is Daniel McGowan, Benjamin Peters and Tiffany Wood.

Three British writers go missing in Central Asia. Sneaking away from the safe confines of the Embassy they witness a chilling event that threatens the delicate balance of power within the region.

Adam Brace's previous work includes Stovepipe (NT & Bush Theatre co-production 2009), A Real Human Person Who Cares And All That (2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival), The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival - runner up Guardian Fringe Award) and After Sex All The Animals Are Sad (2003 Edinburgh Fringe Festival). A Real Humane Person Who Cares And All That was written prior to Adam Brace's acclaimed production of Stovepipe, which was performed at the West 12 shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush as part of a National Theatre and Bush Theatre co-production.

Jamie Harper is the Associate Director of the Rose Theatre Kingston. He was the recipient of the JMK Directors' Award 2006 and was the Resident Director at the National Theatre Studio. Jamie recently assisted on Sean Homes' production of Richard Bean's The English Game (Headlong) and James MacDonald's production of Peter Handke's The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other (National Theatre).

This production is produced by Bailey Lock and Benjamin Peters.
