The Daily Mail reports that Anne Reid and Janie Dee will star as Madame Armfeldt and her daughter Desiree, respectively, in a concert performance of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at the Palace Theatre on January 26, 2015. The show will mark the 40th anniversary of the original London production.

Joining them will be Joanna Riding as Countess Charlotte Malcolm, Simon Bailey as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm, Anna O'Byrne as Anne Egerman, Fra Fee as Henrik Engerman, Laura Pitt-Pulford (set to star in THE SOUND OF MUSIC later this season) as Petra, Bibi Jay as Fredrika Egerman and Joe Vetch. Also featured are Nadim Naaman as Mr. Erlanson, Scott Garnham as Mr. Linquist, Laura Tebbutt as Mrs. Nordstrom, Emma Harrold as Mrs. Anderssen and Jenna Boyd as Mrs. Segstrom.

Alex Parker is producing, with Alastair Knights in the director's chair, Andrew Wright choreographing, and a 25-piece orchestral accompaniment.

The official description of the concert reads: "Inspired by Ingmar Bergman's film 'Smile Of A Summer Night', the action takes place in a weekend country house in turn-of-the-century Sweden. The party consists of middle-aged Fredrik Egerman, his teenage trophy wife Anne, his son Henrik, the intriguing and beautiful actress Desiree Armfeldt, her mother Madame Armfeldt, the ferociously jealous Count Carl-Magnus, and his long-suffering wife Charlotte."
