Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition at Gaithersburg Arts Barn

Immediate Opening in Medieval Europe: Seeking delicate princess with any credentials to marry wimpy prince with mute father and overbearing mother. Job will involve teaming with a minstrel and jester to outsmart a wizard, rescue a knight and  lady in waiting, and restore order to the kingdom.  Must be expert in obscure historical trivia, advanced mathematics, Spanish dance, and weight-lifting. Proficient lute skills a plus. Apply in person. 

"Once Upon a Mattress: Youth Edition" is a whimsical and fantastical musical based on the classic "Princess and the Pea" fairytale. Directed by Fred Zirm in his 50th year of directing youth theatre, the musical tells the tale of a fantastical land, a King, a Queen, a Prince, and an unlikely love story. Come see the imaginative world of Winnifred the Woebegone brought to life on stage with playful songs and a heartfelt story that is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.
