Wolf Trap Director of Patron Services Selected as Box Office Star

By:

The Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts announced today that Bernard Berry, Director of Patron Services for The Foundation has been selected as one of the "2011 Venues Today Box Office Stars." Venues Today magazine is a leading international trade publication that covers the business side of entertainment and sports. Mr. Berry receives this special recognition from Venues Today subscribers and International Ticketing Association members. Winners are chosen for making significant contributions to the ticketing industry, inspiring their peer group and serving their company and customers beyond the norm.

Mr. Berry has lead patron services at Wolf Trap for more than a decade. During 2010 he was a key player in facilitating the quickest turnaround on all mail orders in Wolf Trap's history, and enabled print@home ticket delivery for all ticket inventory. He also oversaw the launch of a mobile version of the Wolf Trap website for ticket search and purchase. All of these efforts were particularly important in 2010 when Wolf Trap hosted 106 summer shows at its outdoor amphitheatre, The Filene Center, the largest number of performances in its history, during one of the hottest summer seasons on record.

"Bernie's ability to inspire his staff and provide immediate and personal customer service to Wolf Trap's patrons is a standard every ticketing manager should emulate," said Linda Deckard, publisher, Venues Today. "Wolf Trap customers are fortunate to have such a professional at the venue and we are proud to be honoring him in 2011. There are currently only nine Venues Today Box Office Stars, the cream of the crop in an exacting and challenging profession."

"The Wolf Trap experience is what the Foundation is all about-delivering high quality performing arts and education programs that are accessible to a broad audience in a beautiful natural setting," said Terrence Jones, president and CEO of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. "Excellent customer service is certainly at the heart of that experience and Bernie has been critical to our efforts in that regard. We are pleased he is a part of the Wolf Trap family and congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition."
