What is it like for an actor working on two shows by the same playwright at the same time? Earlier this month, Everyman Theatre followed Resident Company Member Beth Hylton for a full day, seeing her rehearse Jen Silverman's The Roommate at Everyman and then perform in another Silverman play, Collective Rage: A Play in Five Boops, at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Watch to see Beth travel between theatres and transform between roles!

Performances of The Roommate run now through November 27.

A mash-up of Thelma and Louise meets The Odd Couple, this hilarious, coming-of-age story about a middle-aged woman from acclaimed playwright Jen Silverman took the Humana Festival of New American Plays by storm in 2015. When Sharon, a lonely Iowa divorcee, seeks a roommate and a change of pace in her quiet life, she meets Robyn, a mysterious vegan transplant from the Bronx whose secret past threatens to ignite Sharon's small world.
