The Hub's Seventh Season to Feature PEEKABOO! A NATIVITY TALE, THE TYPOGRAPHER'S DREAM & More

By:

The Hub Theatre has announced their exciting 7th Season. Continuing their track record of taking artistic risks with great success, The Hub once again is producing area and world premieres that will continue to gain them recognition as one of the area's most adventurous theatres. The Hub kicks off their season in December with an early look at two works currently under commission. Anne M. McCaw's PEEKABOO! A NATIVITY TALE will find full production in 2015 as part of the Women's Voices Theatre Festival, but Hub will share its progress this December. McCaw, along with being a recognized playwright, is the Executive Director of Inkwell, a source for new plays and playwrights. In addition to a nativity tale, audiences will be treated to a showing of Artistic Director Helen Pafumi's newest work THE MAGI, which is part play, part rock concert. The two plays in development promise to ring in the holidays with Hub's signature style.

Later in the winter, The Hub brings back its HUB PLAY FEST, with a series of readings and audience discussions. Play Fest will be produced in partnership with The Inkwell. In addition The Hub will produce an EMERGING WRITERS FESTIVAL that will highlight the work of local high school and college playwrights.

In the spring, The Hub presents Adam Bock's surreal play, THE TYPOGRAPHER'S DREAM. Bock's lyrical and poignant script will be a DC Area Premier. Closing out the season in July is the World Premiere of LETO LEGEND by award winning playwright and Hub Company member Kristen LePine.

The adventure continues at The Hub! Subscriptions are on sale now.
