Synetic Theater Announces 18/19 Season!

Synetic Theater Founding Artistic Director Paata Tsikurishvili unveils the 2018/19 Season, continuing the successful installation of "Synetic Family Theater" and "New Voice Series," while producing two popular Shakespeare plays. Theater That Moves promises to move audiences young and old while showcasing Synetic's powerhouse visual storytelling.

"I am extremely excited about our lineup for the 2018/19 season" said founding artistic director Paata Tsikurishvili. "It's a great blend of very diverse stories from melodrama to high comedy to adventure. This lineup plays to Synetic's unique strengths as well as stretch our muscles."

Kicking off the 2018/19 Season, Synetic Theater will remount fan favorite King Learin mid-October. Synetic's Family Theater will then continue to delight audiences of all ages with a wordless production of My Father's Dragon in December. Come February, Cyrano de Bergerac will conspire with the help of another man to win the heart of his beloved in Cyrano. Synetic Theater will add to their Wordless Shakespeare series with Richard III in May, and close out the season by presenting a mature, yet accessible, interpretation of Treasure Island that promises to be a summer smash.

Number 14 in Synetic Theater's Wordless Shakespeare Series, Paata Tsikurishvili will depict the Machiavellian rise to power and subsequent short reign of King Richard III of England in an action-packed and cutting edge display of movement. This production is recommended for ages 13+.

Prepare yourselves for the adventure of a lifetime, and travel with Synetic Theater's buccaneers in search of buried treasure. This coming of age story is the perfect second installment to Synetic Theater's New Voice Series. This production is recommended for ages 13+.

*Synetic New Voice Series is a new initiative launched by Synetic Theater in 2017 that allows local DC area theater professionals to create, choreograph, cast, and direct an original adaptation.
