Riverside Center For The Performing Arts Presents SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER

By: Mar. 07, 2017

The Riverside Center for the Performing Arts in Fredericksburg, Virginia is excited to present the disco musical, Saturday Night Fever starring Michael Notardonato as Tony Manero. Located at 95 Riverside Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA, performances begin on Wednesday March 15th and run until Sunday May 7th.

Put on your bell-bottoms and dancing shoes and take a trip back in time with this brand new version of the show based on the 1977 hit film starring John Travolta. Saturday Night Fever follows Tony Manero in his attempt to escape his troubles by spending weekends at the local disco. Watch Tony win the admiration of the crowd and his girl, Stephanie Mangano, as he burns up the dance floor with his electric moves. The production features the disco music that made The Bee Gees famous.

Riverside Center Producing Artistic Director, Patrick A'Hearn, has assembled an outstanding cast and production team. No stranger to the role of Tony, Michael previously played the role for Royal Carribean Productions. He is joined by Melissa Rapelje as his love interest, Stephanie Mangano. The principal cast also includes Taylor Short (Annette), Gavin Rohrer (Bobby C.), Richie Barella (Joey), Ethan Henry (Gus), TJ Newton (Double J), Melike Konur (Candy), Joey Gravins (Monty/Fusco), Alyssa Bornschein (Pauline), Josh Bartosch (Frank Manero Jr.), Kathy Halenda (Flo Manero), Alan Hoffman (Frank Manero), and Sydney Davis (Linda Manero). The ensemble includes Brianne Cook, Anthony Cosby, Tara DiGiovacchino, Antonio Eulises Granada Manzano, Andrew Prowant, Sally Roehl, Sarah Frances Williams and Stephanie Wood.

The production is being directed and choreographed by Patti D'Beck with music direction by Garrett Jones. The creative team also includes Adam Koch (scenic design), Angela Cartensen (costume design), Joe Thompson (lighting design), Bethany Galyen (sound design), and Stephanie Wood (associate choreographer). Kim Leone is the Production Stage Manager.

Review: BALLET WEST: THE NUTCRACKER at Kennedy Center

The first Nutcracker appear at the Kennedy Center this year is from Ballet West, based in Salt Lake City. And as brisk and fresh as it feels, it comes as something of a surprise that its lineage goes back to the very first U.S. performance of what’s become the most popular ballet in the country by far.
