Molotov Theatre Group, Washington DC's only horror- and suspense-based theatre company, has announced that the acknowledged authority on Grand Guignol, Professor Richard Hand of the University of Glamorgan in Wales, has agreed to add his expertise to the company as Artistic Advisor.

Professor Hand has published two definitive textbooks on the under-appreciated horror genre through The University of Exeter Press: "The Grand Guignol" and "The London Grand Guignol."

"I am extremely excited about taking on the role of Artistic Advisor with Molotov Theatre," Professor Hand said. "I have long admired Molotov's work at the cutting edge of international horror theatre and I look forward to advising them with their continuing creative work. As much as offering them the benefit of my scholarly and practical expertise in horror performance, I expect to learn a huge amount by being actively involved in their outstanding theatrical work," he added.

Molotov Co-Founder and President Alex Zavistovich said, "Having Richard join the Molotov team will be a tremendous boost to the company. His work is internationally acknowledged as the most exhaustive and definitive analysis of the Grand Guignol genre. We look forward to being able to benefit from his detailed knowledge of the form, and provide a practical proving ground for his continuing research."

Professor Hand's important textbook,"The Grand Guignol," is available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Guignol-Theatre-University-Performance-Studies/dp/085989696X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406296173&sr=8-1&keywords=grand+guignol
