Molotov Theatre Group's latest production, "Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe," by Eric Coble, opens November 6. Opening weekend features several additional Molotov activities to kick off the company's new Season of the Supernatural - including beer from Baltimore's Raven Beer brewery opening night and the prize-laden Hellraiser Fundraiser the following night, November 7.

Official press night for "Nightfall" is Saturday, November 8; media is welcome any time. The show is performed at the DC Arts Center (2438 18th Street NW, Washington, DC). Doors open at 7:30 and the run time is approximately 85 minutes with no intermission.

"Nightfall" takes an artful (for Molotov) look at the question of whether Poe was insane or psychically tormented. Adapted for the stage by Eric Coble, the author of "The Velocity of Autumn," this play dramatizes four of Poe's best known works: "The Raven," "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Pit and the Pendulum," and "The Tell-Tale Heart."

"Nightfall" is directed by Mark Kamie with original musical underscore and sound design by prominent DC composer: Gregory Thomas Woolford Martin.
The cast includes Adam R. Adkins, Jen Bevan, Yoni Gray, Elliott Kashner, Matthew Marcus, and Stacy Whittle.

On opening night, Stephen Demczuk, owner of Raven Beer in Baltimore, will personally serve patrons some of his more popular brews for an hour before and after the show. Demczuk will be serving "Pit and the Pendulum" and "Tell-Tale Heart" beer - two of Poe's stories dramatized in "Nightfall."

The next day at Millie & Al's bar and restaurant (2440 18th Street NW), Molotov will be hosting its latest Hellraiser Fundraiser. Attendees can participate in a raffle for prizes including show tickets from local theatres, autographed books and scripts, and memorabilia from Bethesda Softworks and Molotov Theatre Group itself.
