DC's masters of mayhem, Molotov Theatre Group, are having a playreading series in April to determine which of three shows should get the full Molotov treatment this Halloween.

Not one. Not two. But THREE cutting-edge scripts, Mondays in April, guaranteed to capture your imagination, make your skin crawl, and check the locks twice.

It's an intimate setting, above the new Slim's Diner in Petworth, with talented local actors reading with scripts in hand, for your listening pleasure.

Best of all, it's FREE. Because it's a fundraiser, we may ask for a suggested donation, but none is required.

The "Wickedly Good" Reading Series and Fundraiser is made possible by Paul Ruppert and Warehouse Industries.

Seating's limited. To hold your place (and to make a donation), visit this page: https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?actions=4&p=5

WHAT:

APRIL 11, 7:30 PM
THE END OF JACK CRUZ, by David L. Williams (adapted from the novel by A.A. Garrison)
Directed by Alex Zavistovich

The movies never prepared him for this kind of zombie apocalypse. After surviving a plague decimating the human population, "Colonel" Jack Jones is left in a junkie's nightmare where hard drugs are the only treatment for the virus. He stumbles onto the shelter of Jack Cruz, a shadowy character working on a cure.

Can you work to save the world and be moral at the same time? Can there be sanity? And who decides? As the stakes heat up and the intensity flares, "Colonel" must find out the truth and decide-when your only companion in the world might be a murderer, and there is no one left to kill, is surviving worth it?

APRIL 4, 7:30 PM
GALLERY, by CJ Tour (adapted for Molotov Theatre Group by Erica Smith)
Directed by David Dieudonne

It's "No Exit" for the graphic novel set. A bomb blast in Arkham Asylum has thrown together five of The Dark Knight's arch enemies and Gotham's most dangerous homicidal maniacs. They all need to get to the evidence room where the tools of their trade are housed. Waiting out the raging storm outside until they can get the room unlocked, the clock ticks away to the approach of their nemesis.

It's not the actual fight with The Caped Crusader that worries these villains, but their own internal pyschodramas....

APRIL 18. 7:30 PM
THE CALL OF CTHULU: A RADIO PLAY, adapted by Ron N. Butler
Directed by Elliott Kashner

One of the feature stories of the Cthulhu Mythos, H.P. Lovecraft's "The Call Of Cthulhu" is a harrowing tale of the weakness of the human mind when confronted by powers and intelligences from beyond our world.

Presented as a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a horror radio play, "The Call of Cthulu: A Radio Play" is a new take on one of America's most celebrated horror authors
