Firehouse Theatre's Ends Run of "Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake)" on 3/20
The Firehouse Theatre of Richmond, VA will end its run of "Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake)" on March 21st.
The Firehouse Theatre continued its spectacular 2009-10 season with Sheila Callaghan's "Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake)" from Feb. 25 through March 20.
Blurring the lines between Mother and those needing mothering, Crumble tells the story of eleven-year old Janice, whose father has recently died, and her devastated mom, who trusts in superior baking skills as the key to healing. While her mother fires up the oven and dreams of Harrison Ford, Janice dreams of Justin Timberlake and compiles a very strange, very explosive Christmas-wish list. Toss a crumbling, mercurial apartment into the mix, and the road to redemption is a twisted one, indeed.
The Firehouse Theatre Project is formed to present important American contemporary theatre pieces with an emphasis on plays not previously produced in the metropolitan Richmond area, including developing, producing, and performing at least one new play each year.
