EVEN OLYMPIANS HAVE ASTHMA Makes Washington, DC Premiere, Benefits Planned Parenthood Comedian Rosemary Cipriano returns to Washington, D.C. after 3 years for a special one-night only performance of her award-winning comedy show, Even Olympians Have Asthma, on May 5th at Shaw's Tavern. All the proceeds from the show will go to Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington.

Even Olympians Have Asthma had its world premiere at the United Solo Theatre Festival at Theatre Row in November 2017. Directed by Nicole Cusick, the show was named a Bestseller and was awarded the United Solo Award for Best Stand Up. Cipriano was named an Encore performer after another award-winning, sold-out run of her first one-woman show, Shit., at United Solo in September 2016. Shit. had its world premiere at American University in Washington, D.C. in March 2015. This is the 2nd show from the Cusick/Cipriano team.

Cipriano doesn't leave her apartment without three things: her wallet, her keys, and her inhaler. In this hilarious new show, Cipriano explores the meaning of life, liberty, and the pursuit of sugar daddies. Anyone with a Tinder profile can relate: it's a classic story of boys-meet-girl with no second date in sight. Even Olympians Have Asthma is all but one millennial's journey to try to afford brunch.

Because we're all thinking it, she's just saying it.

The Shithead Production Team is going back to their roots in the District. Nicole Cusick is directing Even Olympians Have Asthma marking the second collaboration with Cipriano. Tyler Dubuc is the resident lighting expert after coming off of Spingsteen On Broadway. Additionally, two local DC comedians will be kicking off the show: Tyler Bowders and Kacie Hackett.

Rosemary Cipriano is a NYC based writer, actor, and comedian who studied improvisation at Upright Citizens Brigade and performs with a rag tag group of funny people on the improv team, Baxter. When she's not making people laugh with her, she's making people laugh at her. Cipriano is still paying off her student loans for her B.A. in Theatre Arts from American University. Her funnies can be seen on Medium, The Haven, and Funny or Die. She tweets about boys and heartburn at @rosiecip.
