Crash of Rhinos Stages PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES Reading Tonight

By:

Crash of Rhinos, the small theater company going into residence at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts next year, announced today it would present a staged reading of "Parent Teacher Conferences," a new comedy by Jessica North Macie, tonight, December 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the Conservatory.

"Parent Teacher Conferences" follows the comic travails of an unpredictable group of educators (and one overworked fairy godmother) as they interact with concerned family members over what's best for the children. From presenting back-to-school nights to tackling final exams, their stories remind us that when it comes to educating kids, adults still have a lot to learn.

The reading, which is free to the public, will be held in the Conservatory's black-box theater. Doors open at 7:00. The reading features Mario Baldessari, Christian Beltran, Zachary Brewster-Geisz, Liz Dutton, Julia Fanning, Joseph Michael Jones, Sarah Pullen and Cristen Stephansky; and directed by Keith Bridges.

More information on the reading is available here: www.theconservatory.org/now-playing.html.

The Conservatory is located in the heart of Georgetown at 1556 Wisconsin Ave. NW. Detailed directions here: www.theconservatory.org/directions.html.

As an accredited actor-training academy, the Conservatory operates under the oversight of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges, and the US Department of Education; and its students are eligible to receive federal student loans and grants. The Conservatory's two-year, intensive, actor-training program - which is firmly rooted in the teachings of Michael Chekhov, Michel Saint-Denis and Constantin Stanislavsky - provides students with 1,800 hours of instruction, practice and rehearsal in 16 months. The Conservatory's faculty consists of actors, directors and playwrights who are actively employed in the DC-area theater and film community. The Conservatory has been training people for careers in acting since 1975.
