Actor Joe Mantegna and Franco Nuschese to Be Honored With 1st Saint Pio Foundation Award, 5/22

The Saint Pio Foundation is proud to present the 1st "Saint Pio Award Ceremony," which will take place at The Naval Heritage Center (701 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20004), on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 6:30pm. A cocktail reception will be followed by the award ceremony.

The Saint Pio Award has been established to recognize the selfless and outstanding contribution to the Catholic Church of those individuals who have strongly committed to support the Saint Pio Foundation and its vision.

Guests of honor and first recipient of the Saint Pio Award will be Tony and Emmy-winning actor, producer, writer and director Joe Mantegna, famous worldwide for his role in the movie "The Godfather III", and currently starring in the hit CBS television series Criminal Minds as FBI Supervisory Special Agent David Rossi.

An additional recipient of the Saint Pio Award, will be Mr. Franco Nuschese, owner of the most famous Italian restaurant in Washington DC, Cafe Milano, president of Georgetown Entertainment Group, member of the Georgetown University Italian Research Institute Board of Advisers, member of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council., board member of the University of Maryland's Institute of Human Virology and of the Global Virus Network, and Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Order of Malta.

Welcoming remarks will be delivered by special guest, His Excellency Timothy P. Broglio, Archbishop for the Military Services, USA and by Maestro Luciano Lamonarca, CEO of the Saint Pio Foundation. The event will include a brief classic and operatic performance.
