A portrait of Barre’s Granite community shaped from the interviews & oral histories: stoneworkers business owners, community pillars, recent immigrants, widows and many others tell their stories about work in the quarries, creating enduring monuments, tragedies of accidents, silicosis, and labor disputes. STONE is about their families, dreams, sorrows and joys.Traditional Irish, Italian and French- Canadian music serves as a bridge between characters.
